1992 Mercury Topaz Alternator

Electrical problem
1992 Mercury Topaz 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

How to you remove the alternator on the 6 cyl topaz I tried to do this but there seems to be no way short of removing the rad to do this?

ALTERNATOR
CAUTION:When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section before disconnecting battery.

Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect wiring from alternator. Loosen pivot bolt. Remove adjustment arm bolt. Disengage drive belt from pulley. Remove pivot bolt and alternator. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Thanks for the info however 6 cyl engine is mounted sideways and it seems to be impossible to get to the bottom bolt, top bolt and belt was not an issue

Remove alternator upper mount bolt.
Raise vehicle.
Remove right splash shield.
Remove drive belt.

NOTE:DO NOT discharge A/C system.

Unmount A/C compressor and move aside.
Remove alternator pivot bolt.
Remove alternator from bracket

Attempted to do this rad hoses in the way and even if I get the pump off looks like I still may have to remove rad or at least remove the hoses Would you happen to have picture or the required pages from the repair manual
