Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Mazda 929 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles
I have a Madza 929 with 70,000 miles on it. The car had sat for time and was not driven. When I bought the car I replace the time belt first off, then I had to replace two Hydraulic Lash Adjusters in the right side of the motor. After carefully disassembling and labeling each parts I reasemble the head putting all parts back into their place. Line up all the timimg marks. Tried to chank the car it would crank up and cut back off if you tried to crank it again it the car would flood out. I went back into the car to check the timing it seem to be alright I even asked a high school class mate of mind that work as a mechanic for the Madza dealer ship for a number of years to look at it. And he said the car was in time. He suggested that I change the fuel pump relay connector in the relay box. I did that and tried to crank the car agin it crank up cut back off. Other items I chance Battery new, Battery cables in good condition. Distributor Cap, Fuel Filter,Wireset, Spark Plugs all new. Starter, Alternator rebuild. Fuel Filter new,Throttle Sensor new. EGR Valve checked I even preform the flashlight test on the EGR Valve and I could not see the light. I've also replace the water temperature sensor in the intake and the one by the heater inside the car. I've also check the firing order a number time and it is correct according to my alldata computer program. The rotor is also new as well. Need some help bad. |

Have you checked compression?
When it sets it may need a few squirts of oil into the cylinders to fill what has drained off. |

EGR valve?
Compression test on the cylinders was what I meant.
So you have no fuel pressure?
You then need to access the connector at the pump and see if it is getting power.
I thought the engine was flooding... |

I found your example of the Mazda Diagnostic connector. Using a jumper connector I connected the TEN & GND. I did not receive any flashes could this be a sign of something wrong with the computer? |
