Engine Performance problem

Engine light comes on after engine warms. Engine then runs rough and sluggish. Acceleration and stalling becomes a problem. So far I've done a minor tune-up (plugs, wires,cap, new exhaust, etc..)which was much needed. I'm going to have a mechanic look and I know sensors, ECM's and other items will be discussed. Just wanted to get an idea of what to look for and make sure I don't start getting into the replacing parts until the right one works game.

If the check engine light is on, you need to find out what it is causing it.

Other than that, you have 1001 possiblilties.
