Computer problem
1992 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 144000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Vehicle doesnt start cold. I will turn it over several times waiting for it to start. Most of the time, It will start eventually, and run rough for a while untill something clicks, the engine revs up for a few seconds, then goes back to Idle. After that process, it runs perfectly, and I will be able to start it easily the rest of the day. Once in a while, after several tries in the AM, it will start and run fine right out of the gate.
I have had it checked on 3 mechanics computers, coming back with nothing wrong. The last mecanic said it may be the MAP sensor.
Question: Could the MAP sensor make it act this way, and if so, where is it, and is it easy to change?
