Transmission problem
1992 Buick Skylark 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 30,790 miles

Drive for 15-30 min. engine stalls when stopping. will start in park but stalls when shifted to drive. makes clanking noise from trans. area. after an hour, starts and runs fine until 15-30 min. and a stop occurs. both odometer and tack periodically swing all the way right (momentarily) then return to normal. happens about every 10 min. when driving. VERY FRUSTRATING. Thanks.

sounds like the tcc. does the tach drop as your stopping then die?
