Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

this is my nefew car, i think it a it's eather century or a 88 , but the check eng. light on, when it on it run fine, when it's off it want to die, and you have to pull over and turn it off and restart it the car, and the check eng. light come on, and the car drive fine until it go out again, what could it be
