Engine Performance problem

I have a 91 honda crx hf with the d15b6 1.5l motor. It has been stuttering when driving in all gears especially when the accelerator is in the same position. It starts stuttering than i either step on the gas or let it off a bit and it goes away for awhile than does it again and again. Ive tried everything from timing, fuel filter, plugs, wires, o2sensor. The car doesnt throw any codes on the computer. I have been stuck on this problem for awhile now. Please help.

No it doesnt it mostly happens when driving steady at a certain speed, example 35mph or 55mph it starts to cut out it seems till I let off the gas or step on the gas.

The problem seems to be sensitive to throttle movement. Did you check/test the TP sensor?

I will have to take it all apart because it has those factory sheer bolts unless there is an easier way

Taking it apart would serve no purpose. You can test its voltage at fully closed and open throttle and smooth transition while accelerating.

same sorta happend to me, but I noticed it was between 2.5 - 3.0 RPM's.

Then all the sudden my car wanted to die when I tried to accelerate from a complete stop.

After talking to a buddy of mine who's been working on honda's for over 14 years noticed right away that fuel pressure regulator was bad, not to mention he found that the TPS was broken off as well,

However he had a temp. fix for me until I could get a new fuel pressure regulator, which was some needle nose vice grips pinching on the fuel line connected to the FPR. just enough to create pressure. Somehow it worked like a charm.

It just may be the FPR thats bad.

I would say the TPS is more likely to cause the problem then tha FPR but both would cause it.
