1991 Ford Mustang 4 cyl Manual 157000 miles

My 91 ford mustang just had the alternator changed. it ran fine when i first started it. i drove it around the block and when i went to turn around i killed it. then the car wouldnt start. it turns over but its not getting a spark or something. we hae checked the spark plugs and they are fine. what else might it be??
