Engine Performance problem
1991 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles

Ran fine when i parked it after a 20 mile drive. cold start the next morning and died. Restart, won't idle and died. Restart and help keep running above idle. will rev-up when pedal applied. Sometimes it will run at idle, very rough, wants to die and making a noise like a defective alternator. observed the voltage meter with no change. Idiot light is not on while running, but is on when engine is off.
If it wasn't for the noise, I would have suspected something else like the TPS.
