Electrical problem

Ok guys, same car different problem. Before the car was running and died then wouldn't start. Replaced the distributor and then it ran. I have changed the plugs, oil, air cleaner, fuel filter and oil filter. The car runs great now..when it starts. It will run fine for a few weeks then you go out to start it and it turns over, gets spark and gas but will not start. It sets for about a week or so, you go out put the key in it and it fires right up and runs great. I just went and got a code reader and checked it and all it showed was a code 12..normal. I also checked the fuel mixture with the code reader and sometimes its running a little rich. I was going to replace the computer in it but hate to just keep changing parts till i find it. Don't know if its some kind of sensor or the computer or what. We need this car up and running soon so any help would be great. Thanks again.
