Electrical problem

i have a 91 buick park ave, and the engine will stop when ever it wants to, when it happens all the lights on the dash board will flash and then there is no power. most of the time it will start right back up other times it will take a day or so or even a few hours.
im starting to think it is the ECM but last time i was looking for it under the passenger side dash board / kick panel i couldnt seem to find it will the ECM be labeld on the box. or what else could the problem be.
