1991 Acura Legend overheating

Engine Cooling problem
1991 Acura Legend 206081 miles

Vehicle was overheating. Had the head gaskets replaced but still overheated. Then had the thermostat and thermo sensors replaced and vehilce still overheats. Mechanic said he found hydrocarbons in the cooling system. Could this be a result of bad head gaskets??
