Transmission problem
1990 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
WHEN I PUT THE D OR 2 OR 1 IN THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT MAKE THE CAR RUN IT JUST STAY LIKE I PRESS THE GAS BUT ONLY THE MOTOR IS ASSLERETING AND DOES NOT MOVE A MECHANIC TOLL ME IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION FLUID BUT IT WAS'T WHAT MAY CAUSE THIS PROBLEM AND HOW COULD I FIX IT?
If the transmission fluid level is good, you should check the shift linkage to the transmission, have someone move the shift lever while you watch it on the transmission. If that is OK then you are probably looking at a rebuild or installing a used transmission from a junkyard.
