Smells problem
1990 Other GMC Models
----------------------------------------------------------------
I had a fuel pump replaced professionally and after i got the car out of the shop there has been a very strong gas odor throughout the car. I am afraid to drive because of the possiblity of ignition. Is this normal for the part that I hadd replaced to cause these odors and if so how long will it emit these fumes. If not, what could be the problem with the fuel pump causing these smells to fill my car
Not normal! You need to look for any sign of a leak, and have a look at the cannister, it may be full of gas or need to be replaced, charcoal all used up!
