Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Mercury Marquis V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Have an oil leak that is getting worse. It seems like the pan gasket but i was told tha the oil pan was known to develope leaks. I removed the inspection plate from the transmission and there is no signs of oil there. Is it the pan gasket, the oil pan or a main seal? How do I tell?
