Transmission problem
1990 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 195000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
The transmission seems fine the clutch however was giving me some problems by sticking and not coming all the way back up. I would have to pump the clutch for it to stay in the upright position. A few days later when I press the clutch to shift it stays to the floor and I have to manually pull it back up with my foot and then press it down again in order to shift. Even with the clutch stuck to the floor the car would remain in gear as I pressed on the accelerator where once before the car would be in neutral. If I was to start the car while the clutch is in gear and my foot was on an already clutch pedal that was stuck to the floor the car would start moving in gear.I have to put the car in neutral before starting it. If I ride the clutch, as they call it, I can keep on continuing shifting but once I release the clutch I have to once again go to the process of pulling the clutch back up with my foot in order to shift. One other note. When I so call ride the clutch the tension seems to remian in the clutch when it stays close to the floor but the tension is gone once I release the clutch

Hi crossoverrecovery,

The clutch master cylinder is faulty and there could be lack of fluid in the system.
