1990 Buick Century 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100 miles

it's been in the shop 3 times now for the same thing. it starts fine @ times then we go some where and when leave it will start and then when we go to drive it completely dies and won't start. 1st shop put a new fuel pump, filter, and crank shaft censor. but he still couldn't get it to start. towed it to the 2nd shop and it started right up no problem. got it home and left and it did it again, choked, and died wouldn't even turn over. last friday we towed it to the 3rd shop. yesterday it started right up, they left it running for an 1hr @ a time still no problem, they drove it and still no problem. went to get it last night and by the time we got it home it started to act like it was going to do it again. 1hr later we went to eat and went to leave it back fired, choked all the way home, ever time you put your foot on the gas it would want to die. this morning it won't start @ all. what could the problem be. it wants to start but wont why?????????help pls i am going crazy here
