Drive Train Axles Bearings problem

Hello, I am trying to figure out what is causing this loud clunking noise when i turn.

I have examined the front end myself and i found that the steering(tie rod ends)(Ball Joints) are tight, the clunking sound is accomponied by a slight movement of the wheel, as if something inside is shifting a bit, the knock is only present when the truck is holding its own weight, it does not make any noise when up on jack stands.

I am thinking it is the CV Joint on the drivers side, but im not sure, and what Parts & Tools i may need in addition to the joint itself.

any advice would be a big help.

yes it sounds like your cv joint, but you have to do some research because it is sometimes cheaper to buy the entire half shaft than it is to buy the cv joint, then the labor, its easier to replace the halfshaft than it is to replace the cv joint. so you have to do a little thinkin first

Hi again, I have checked the price for the drivers side CV joint and its around $100.00.

But i need to know if there is anything else i need - Seals - Bearings or anything like that.

I do all my own mechanic work so i will also need to know if there is any special tools i will need to get.

ayy dean, no Im pretty positive that vehicle doesnt need any seals or anything. and the tools are gonna be just your average, no specialty tools is what im saying. awesome. good luck and get back soon
