Electrical problem

hi I am having problems with my headlights not working. they pop up when turned on but they do not work. they just stopped working altogether one day. i still have marker and tail lights. i checked all the fuses and they are good i replaced the headlight switch and it did nothing different. the switch was used from a 91 probe but the marker lights did come on. any help would be great thanks
