Electrical problem
1989 Ford F350 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 189000 miles

My batteries wake up dead. I have replaced alternator, voltage regulator, and 1 battery that was bad, however the batteries do not keep charge. The voltage reads fine on dashboard control. I do notice that when I connect the positive clamp to my battery charger and then go to connect the negative clamp, a small spark gives off. I have checked all fuses and all are fine. I have checked all lights including domes, glovebox and lighter and these are not causing the lost charge. I suspect it must be a short under the hood but need help so I know where to start looking.
