1989 Ford F150 help me i miss my truck

Transmission problem
1989 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

my tranny jumps into neutral and will only go into 4 wheel low. sometimes not even then will it go into gear. only after a few times of shifting from 4 wheel low ot 2 wheel high will it go into gear usualy into low gear. new cluch kit installed fluid levels in tranny&tranfer case good.

Check the shifting linkage it may be loose
