Transmission problem
1989 Chevy Corsica 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 215765 miles

My '89 Corsica started slipping going into reverse and has now decided that reverse is no longer an option. Fluid level is fine but I only recently acquired this car and have no real idea as to how well it's been maintained. Is this a simple change the filter and fluid problem or do I have to throw money at a mechanic?
