Engine Cooling problem
1989 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
when my car gets hot the fan does not kick on. The only time the fan kicks on is if i run my heater. I thought that the fan is supposed to come on not only when it gets hot but if you also turn the air conditioner on. well, even when i turn the a/c on the fan does not come on. Ive replaced the relay and it still wouldnt work. The only thing i could do is connect the wiring to a fuse that was linked to work when the car is turned on, but then it is on all the time. Dont know if you can help but im open for suggestions.

sounds to me like abad coolant temperature switch, would replace that and check the wiring harness first of all.
