Hey, I have a automatic Acura TSX 04, I have it for 3yrs now, with onyl 27k on it. Just about last week, I notice that my braks are squeaking!!!!! I RARELY RARELY RARELY push the braks hard, i usually downshift ( semi-automatic ) to slow down, save gas! I also dont drive the car the much either, because i usaually take the bus to school (college). I take pretty good care of the car, well the engine mainly... So can you tell me why the brake squeak sometime, it gets annoying because its a BRAND NEW, RARELY drivin car!

Regardless, it might be the environment that you drive in. Stop and go, no matter how you stop. The squeek is mostly attributed to a simple scraping sound that is a warning that the pads are getting warn. Determine first if it is front or rear and then pick the noisiest side. Pull of the tire and check the pads to determine what is left. Remember that you may see fairly good pad on one side of the system and the other could be worn. Even from one end of the same pad the wearing could be different. If you look closely you will see the metal scraper that is on one of the pads and it will probably be touching the rotor. Either way it is most likely a need for either front brakes or back or all around. Remember the MOST of the stopping is done by the front brakes.
