Electrical problem
2004 BMW 325 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 42000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I sprayed down the engine to clean the dust off and now the engine will start but will not run. I was able to finally able to drive the cara bout 4 miles but still wants to cut off at idle. The EML light came on after driving a couple of miles.
The EML light is warning that something is wrong with the electronic "fly by wire" throttle. If the check engine light is on too there is a fault set and it can be retrieved with the proprietary BMW software. You will possibly need to see your friendly neighborhood BMW technician. If there is a fault code that is not understood, repost and I can help you interpret the data.
