Electrical problem

I might have done a stupid thing. I read online a study where you add 2 ounces of Acetone per 10 gallons of gas and it is supposed to alter the molecular structure, or something like that to make the gas burn better. I thought I would try this so I added 2 oz acetone and filled up with 13 gallons of gas. I didnt notice anything at first, but soon after I noticed my service engine light would come on when I first started the engine and it does its diagnostic check. It said service in 600 miles. Then soon it said service in 500 miles. Now it says service. I havent put 500 miles on it since I first saw the service engine soon light. Is it possible I screwed up the oxygen sensors? The car runs as great as it ever has. Thanks...Russ
