2002 BMW 2002 car turns over then immediately shuts off

Noises problem
2002 BMW 2002 V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 120,00 miles

My car was working perfect. I have a 02 BMW M5. I shut it off, then 30 min later, i went to turn back on and it would turn over then shut off like it has no gas, i did that 8 times to try and start it and then it started to make a tapping noise in the engine bay, but it was running fine just prior to this all happening. PLEASE help me figure out what is going on, PLease helppp...

This might require some more diagnosis, what is the history of the vehicle?

possibly fuel pump. Have not heard noise this morning. tried to start but won't, turns over but no start. Could it be a dirty filter or prob more likely fuel pump. I got the major service recently at BMW, it shows in the instrument cluster the last green bar before the yellow bar, so it is due for another minor service, could that have something to do with it, or prob not
