1999 BMW 328 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 133000 miles

Why does my electric fan cont. to stay on all the time. I have to unplug it or it will kill my car and I have to plug it in to keep my car from overheating?

The fan is controlled by a solid state device known as a final stage. This final stage is built into the fan unit and the entire fan will require replacement. If you send the last 7 digits of the VIN, I can tell you the part number for the part you will need to buy to fix this problem.
