Brakes problem

When the car stops and go for some time (traffic jam) the front brakes get really tight (like being stuck) and the car bearly moves. Is like running with the e-brake on. It looses all power, the steering wheel start shaking (like needing alignment) and smeels like burned brake pads. It does this for 5 - 10 minutes and then goes back to normal. Usually I stop and let i cool down for 10 minutes and then runs like a champ.

Have you taken any action to correct the problem yet? Brakes are a safety issue and I strongly recommend seeking professional assisstance immediately.
