My alarm system chirps and the locks attempt to lock but they don't go down.

This issue could be caused by a bad door lock actuator. To isolate the faulty actuator, look for the one that does not move, it may also be the trunk lock actuator too. Removing the bad actuator from the circuit will allow the system to function.
