Electrical problem

the battery recently died so i recharged it and when i put it on the alarm would not go off. the key only unlocks the trunk not the doors and the button on the remote doesnt work. car does not start so i removed the wire to disconnect alarm, but the engine still will not start. makes a low humming noise. is the alarm still not letting it start?

Yes it is very possible. Remove the drivers side under dash and inspect the wiring from the ignition switch. Are there any splices in the large black wire? If so bypass them and try it again. Also if the car is an automatic make sure the neutral safety switch is working. Repost to me if more assistance is required.
