Electrical problem
1988 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 63000 miles
I have a 1988 Lincoln Town Car that I bought for cheap,and when i went to start it, it won't. It turns over,but doesnt even attempt to start. No sparks from any of the plugs, but there is power to the coil. I removed the fusible links and connect them directly ( ignition fusible links thinking they might be bad). Does this sound like an ignition switch problem? A selenoid? or what? Then there is always the possibility of it being the anti-theft system. If so, do you have any ideas of how to trick it or shut it off? by the way, the owners manual completely sucks so try not to refer me to that worthless piece of crap. Thank you much. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs,coil's resistances,cap and rotor /distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, ECM,Ignitor cam and crank sensors- Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it |
