Engine Performance problem
1988 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 98000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My engine is idling rough and it runs rough when you first step on the gas.Almost like its choking. It runs fine when your driving but when you first start it and at any stopand go. I changed the wires and plugs-put a new distributer in because of play. A new throttle position senser.
Don't get it! Hope you can help.
Maybe your carburator is leaking at the gaskets, thats what happened to mine. But don't touch that needle that can only be turned with an allan key. You will see it after you remove the top plate of the carburator. Or try the Electronic control module its located by the glove compartment around there. Or it could be the throttle position sensor.
