Transmission problem
1987 Jeep Wrangler Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
Had a new clutch put in about a year and a half ago. About 2 or 3 times since then, the clutch has lost pedal pressure and shifting into 1st gear from a stop was incredibly difficult. The auto shop bled the clutch and refilled it (usually without finding air).

This fixes the problem but apparently its only temporary. I've also noticed some spots on the ground underneath the engine. Thoughts on troubleshooting or suggestions appreciated. thanks

checked my Midas records and they indeed have replaced the master and slave cylinder in the past. There was paint peeling near the master cylinder but I dunno if that was old or not.

So most likely can only be the hydraulic lines unless one of the replaced parts went bad already (unlikely).

Manufacturer defect/s. How long was the past? Bleed the clutch M/C and see what happens.

Midas just bled the clutch like a week ago when it wasn't working. They said they found no air.
