Engine Performance problem
1985 Ford Bronco Four Wheel Drive Automatic 85,000 miles

I recently bought my bronco about 3 months ago and when I got it it had problems with speed. I don't know much about cars but when I am going up hill flooring it and only going 25mph I'm guessing somethings up. I took it to the shop and they cut out the catalytic converter but even still its not gaining speed. So now I don't know what the problem could be. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
