1985 Chevy Truck starting

Engine Mechanical problem
1985 Chevy Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 151669 miles

when i strat my truck it runs fine then i drive it tell it warms up shut it off then it dosen't whant to stay running when it dose it jerks and back fires i changed my plugs and wires about two monts ago it started when i drove through a flooded street now i have problems if you could help me please.

See if you have water in the distributor.How high did the water level get on your truck?

not sure how high it got in the engin but i will check that.
