Engine Mechanical problem
1984 GMC C1500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I had a mechanic adjust the lifters. Truck was running fine when brought in, however, mechanic said the lifters were loose and needed tightening. Now after driving it from the mechanics shop, it died and won't start. Took it back to the mechanic and he said the engine had ceased. My question is, could the tightening of the lifters have an impact on the engine ceasing up???
Lifter are hydraulic, so I don't think so, unless an oil change was also done, and something related to that went wrong, loose filter or oil pan plug, not enough, or too much oil added....and I think he meant Siezed...as in frozen.
