1984 Buick Regal no start, no sound

Electrical problem
1984 Buick Regal V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have replaced my battery, and my starter, I have also run new wires to the solenoid and battery, when I did this the car did start, but when I turned on the headlights it cut right off, could it be just my battery is low or my ignition switch is bad?
