Engine Performance problem
1983 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 200000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
i have a carbureted 3.8 litre v6 with automatic the car when cold runs great runs great for a while after warming up but when the car gets hot it hesitates hard and it does not matter if it is in drive or park moving or at a stop light just hesitates hard but the hesitation will go away momentarily when i accelerate real hard, i am at a loss on what to check now,
it has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, all vaccuum lines have been checked the egr valve has been dismissed as a proble, no vaccuum leaks, has even a new ignition coil, timing is dead on, valves have been re adjusted, also the carb is a newer reman, dont know what else it could be i am at odds, also it cant be exhaust it has one of those cheesy glass packs and no cat, so that is out of equation just at a loss for what it could be, i was thinking ignition control module or distributor but now im all mixed up on what to do next.
