1983 Buick Lesabre wont start

1983 Buick Lesabre V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my battery is reading around 12v. i had my altenator tested at autozone. they told me it was good? when i try to start the car, i hear the starter engage and if i hold it in start the starter tires down. no crank. could this be an ignition switch. a few days ago the isturment cluster was blowing fuses then popped now wont come on. the battery lights been on also. could all these problems be realated?

welcome to the forum. I'd have to make sure he battery has a full charge and the connections are good. With everything turned off, use digital voltmeter across posts. The generic spec for a full charge is 12.6 volts. Take a second reading across battery posts, engine running, if you can get it started, the second reading should be higher than the first, if the charging system is working. The charging system needs to be checked on the vehicle. The alternator my test fine at the store,but, if there is a problem with wiring circuits to or from the alternator, it won't charge on the vehicle.
