Engine Mechanical problem
1978 Other Volkswagen Models 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 100000 miles

I am looking at a 1978 VW Vanagon to buy. The seller has ordered an engine seal for it. I live about 200 miles from where it is and plan to drive it home. Can I do this with a bad engine seal? What is the engine seal for? I am 19 years old and don't know much about this. Thanks for your help.

We don't know which seal you are referring to so is unable to say if it is ok.

Get the actual part name and we might be able to help.
