Engine Mechanical problem
1978 Chevy Malibu V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 300000 miles

What are some ways that I can tell if my timing chain is bad wile runnng the engine or driving the car?

Car has original stock 305 engine.

The only way to tell is you have to remove the timing chain cover and measure the slack
