1972 Volkswagen Beetle park brakes

Brakes problem
1972 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 70,000 miles

The park brakes do not catch so I have no park brakes. How do I repair? Is there a diagram somewhere?

There is an adjustment at the handle pull up rubber boot you will see threaded rod[two] loosen front and rear nut turn front in this will tighten. Pull lever up 5 clicks adjust till car does not roll. This is if cables are not rusted frozen and mechanism on wheel is functional.
