Testing Fuel Pressure Video

This video contains basic a testing procedure using an automotive fuel pressure gauge as a detection tool to test a fuel pump and regulator. Correct fuel pressure and fuel pressure regulator operation is essential for your car's engine to operate properly. Many engine run-ability problems can be related to a weak or failing fuel pump or regulator. Problems can range from hard cold engine starting, low power and stalling while driving.

Most cars have a fuel system test port designed into the fuel rail. If your car doesn't have a test port a fuel filter adapter port is needed. This port is attached to the feed side of the fuel filter and then removed after the test is complete.
